Passion is good, because it ignites your purpose. If passion isn't present then the relationship becomes very dull or stale.

Give God your best, fueled by your passion. Renew yourself with God, talked to Him about where you been in relationship with him. He longs to have you back, renewed and refreshed in Him. Grab the Word of God, read the revelation of His love for you.

Start the year ready to possess your promise. But start it with passion and zeal.
Sr. Pastor Tim McCarn

There are may different aspects to marching that you have to know. Keep in line with the person in front of you and to each side of you. Make sure your head doesn't bob up and down. I still recall the sound from the drill instructor, "left, left, left, right, left....

Unison is vital to the body of Christ. Harmony is a necessity for the Kingdom to advance. Our advancement must be aligned properly while we hear the proper commands from our instructors.

There is a generation ready to march like Joshua into battle. They are ready to defeat their enemies with the praise of their testimonies. With their hearts to serve and love others as Christ has loved them. Can you hear them? They are rising up from our churches. They are coming out of our God fearing homes. They are fed up with the status quo . There's a Battle Cry coming. His promises are what keep us motivated and full of zeal. For some that’s the only reason we get up every morning!
Hebrews 6:13-15 “13 For when God made the promise to Abraham, since He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, 14 saying, “I WILL SURELY BLESS YOU AND I WILL SURELY MULTIPLY YOU.” 15 And so, having patiently waited, he obtained the promise.”

2 Corinthians 1:20 “ For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.”

Joshua 1:6 “Be strong and courageous, for you shall give this people possession of the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.”

God knows the power of reminding us of our promises. Everyone has a difference of promises. For some they look for healthier marriages, while some have a great relationship with their spouse struggle with their kids.
While others look for more provisions, yet others money isn’t their problem.

Our promises that we cleave to are obviously connected to the area of life we are missing. For if your promises were fulfilled today they wouldn’t be in your thoughts of anticipation.

I would also be careful to not neglect that there are differences of desires and promises..
I know there are some whose desires are not connected to the will of God. Yet if they are not the will of God then definitely cannot be connected to His promises.

In our text we must understand there has been 40 years of Egyptian purging. This generation doesn’t even understand what it meant to live under bondage, because God allowed them to wonder long enough to get any old mindsets destroyed to upset their forward movement into promise.
Be careful to understand what is upsetting your forward movement.
Recollection of your yesterday’s cant halt anyone from moving into their promises.

• You can chart a course for personal desires while setting the map for heart ache and let down. Loneliness & let downs can set in when you find that you have wondered from the path of God’s promises for you.
• No need to worry there’s even a promise and encourager there for you!

I. Be Strong and of a Good Courage
3 out of the 4 next verses God declares to Joshua Be Strong and of a Good Courage!

God will never chart your course till he makes sure you have the strength and the courage to make it!
This is another level of spiritual maturity!
When Strength , Courage and the Word are your driving mechanism.
Notice God doesn’t tell Joshua to surround himself with cheerleaders.
Notice that His instructions is to be Strong himself! Have courage!
Courage is something disciples need more of!
We need the ability to face the enemy!

In forward movement there’s no place to be timid!
In forward movement there’s no place to allow our weaknesses to affect our direction.

When you are in the place of transition there’s no time to be still dealing with old torments and old agendas. I know there have been times when we come to those inflection points where strength and courage is what pushes us into our promises.

Why is it that Joshua needs strength and courage?
He is coming out!
He’s moving!
He’s advancing!
He’s pressing!
His mission is reflecting from the fire of his passion!
His intensity is rising greater than before.

God knows there will come a time when all of the excitement and zeal will be dowsed out by the battles he hasn’t planned for. That’s when you need strength and courage!
That’s when the Word of God becomes your blinders!
Keep you focused from the distractions of the unplanned battles.

II. Preparation is a Must
God desires for us to prepare properly before ever undertaking the roads of uncertainty.
Verse 11 says “prepare your provisions”

It’s foolish to think that God doesn’t require us to make sure we have our provisions in order to undertake great assignments!
Faith is the foundation for blessings!
Wisdom is granted from proper instructions!
Listening to the voice of wisdom is crucial for our journeys.

Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction”
Proverbs 2:7 “He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly”
Proverbs 4:7 “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding”
Understand what it will take to under gird your paths to promise!
Understand what it will take to make your journey!
The illusions that others will provide for you is a trick of the devil! Cause if you put your trust in others to make things happen for you then you set yourself for heartache and disappointment. There’s too much disappointment in the body of Christ.

Satan drives us with the hurts of someone letting us down.
There’s where we have to understand emotions and intellect.
We put way too much faith in someone else’s ability to provide for us, when God has equipped us with every tool to design provision for us.
I’m not saying you don’t need your employer to write you a check on Friday.

You must remember they have been living on manna for 40 years, and now God will require them to gather provision for a 3 day journey.
There’s a supernatural understanding of how to gather provision when there’s a shift coming to your life.
When God gets ready to move you forward He will teach you how to manage with a different level of provision. He will teach you how to produce provision for your greatest and most significant journeys.
He will start to take you off the milk produced from someone else.

1 Cor. 3:1 “And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.”

III. Obedience Must Flow all the Way Down
God knew that they were ready because they had a mind to listen and follow.
They weren’t rebellious in rejecting instructions.

They understood that the forward advancement of the promises was bigger than their individuals selves and even bigger than one tribe.

Moses gives a question to Reuben and Gad in numbers “Will you sit here while your brothers go to war”
They wanted to settle in a land that wasn’t over the Jordan. It was a land that was good enough for them. They had a mind to stay in a familiar setting and a land that was fruitful enough for them.
Verses 16-18 is the answer they give Joshua about them going to possess the land of promise.
As we obeyed Moses we shall follow you!
Cause the Lord is with you only!

Their desire to stay in familiar provisions didn’t disqualify them at all. They were valiant in their ability to go to war with their brothers.
They understood the assignment and their roles!

Conclusion: There has to be advancement in this hour for the church. But before there’s advancement there has to be clear instructions.
Sr. Pastor Tim McCarn

But when Jesus told me about mercy....wowowowowo

Friend that is what it feels like everyday when I think of His mercy! Makes me smile when everyone is sad. Maybe feeling like there no more you can actually add to your plate. Well we all get there sometimes especially when work loads are increasing, calls are coming in demanding your attention, and the list keeps piling on.

There was a time that Abraham had all of this stuff he had gained over time and his land couldn't contain the cattle and all of his possessions. There was strife among the herdsman of his business partner Lot. There's one thing to have a bunch of things going, but dealing with internal conflict is another. Abraham made a decision to seperate from the strife and explore more possible ways to expand. Not knowing where he was headed , but he knew that he had a promise.

What's the difference between a man who decides to separate from conflict in the middle of a blessing or one who allows it to continue while trying to manage? The difference is that he understands what ever he does, he has a promise that no matter how much is going on and no matter how much strife is happening in his internal circle, God is still going to bless him. The other is he sees the issues and has the ability to deal with them no matter what he might lose because his conflict doesn't depict his blessing.

Balance what you have, delegate what you understand, and create what needs to make you more organized. Get help to assist you in managing your busy life. More importantly never stop possessing new land! Get a new thought from God and see the potential of your seed. Dealing with the demonic influences that have wreaked havoc on many families. Last week alone we dealt with pleading the Blood over our homes and the authorrity we have using the Blood.

Over the years I have pastored our wonderful church, I've dealt with many spirits and spiritual battles. God has used us to plant a life giving church for many people to be saved and delivered. We have seen the spirit of racism pushed back, but not without a fight. Satan doesn't like giving up his territory. We've seen over 5000 people fed groceries every year through this ministry, and many of those come to know Jesus, receive healings in their bodies, and the poverty mentality broken off their lives. The religious stronghold over our reigion has been one of the deadliest spirits I have ever seen, but I've vowed not to give up tearing those walls down.

Personally I've dealt over the last 8 years with so many different types of spiritual onslaughts. It seems like every time we are about to possess some new territory that satan has occupied, there comes a different attack. The Bible says that satan comes to steal, kill and destroy. He doesn't want anyone doing anything great and he will use anyone or anything to try to discourage you from possessing what he has robbed someone else of.

This series I'm preaching now deals with purging your house and pruning your family tree. God has quickly established a mighty church in our area, but not without a fight. I've personally seen the destruction that comes when people allow satan to ravage through their homes. I've also watched as families struggled with generational opression that lingered for many generations and killed the potential fruit of that family tree.

I've taken this series personal and I guess that's why satan has set out to stop me from preaching this Word. My family tree under me has been scattered and devoured due to alcohol, drugs, depression, division, and poverty. All my life I have wanted to give my best to break those things. Satan has tried to take me down every one of those roads, but with the grace of God I've pressed on and didn't give up on my pursuit of seeing my family one day free from those spirits. I've been ridiculed for preaching and declaring God's power over them, but that will not stop me. People wonder why I'm so passionate about preaching, and I tell them its the drive in me to make a difference not only in others lives but even my own.

Today I stand as I always stand, with God! I take authority over every devil in hell that tries to ravage my familiy tree! Every spirit that has hindered my grandparents, parents, sister, aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephews. You can't have my heritage. You will not follow us anymore, and you will not stop us from bearing Godly fruit. You've played in this field long enough, and it's time for life to come forth from my tree. I bind every spirit that speaks against my family tree and every spirit that tries to dwell there, I curse you and command you to go back to hell where you came from. I curse every word ever spoken against my inheritance and every word spoken against my destiny. If God be for me, then who can be against me! I'm the head and not the tail! Above and not beneath! Called, Justified & Glorified!

Come on saints take authority over satan. Take it back!

Whenever satan is trying to attack know that you are on the verge of a major breakthrough. I've seen so many great things happen, but never without a fight! Thank you Lord for your plan! Thank you for your love and your Word that flows like running water over my soul.
Sr. Pastor Tim McCarn

We make the choice in whether we decide to allow Chist to "live in us" for Him to engage that plan. We could set our own courses and travel down roads that lead to heartache and pain, or we could allow God to control our lives to lead us to a place of destiny and Godly design.

As a pastor you have to speak out of love and compassion to help others acheive their lifes dreams and see they unlock the divine design God has for them. As a husband and a father you have to give bounderies to your family for them to become fruitful is this life. I get heart boken when I see such potential in someone but they just cant seem to break past the things that keep them locked up and unable to fly. As a pastor there's been times I've had to give stearn direction or correction and it wasn't received well, but was only done out of the intent of love for the divine design of God to speak one day in their lives.

My prayers are that we see past ourselves and look to the Heavenly Father for the road we are to travel on. People ask me all the time, what is the will of God for me? Your standing in it! You woke up in it! You went to bed in it! All you need to do is allow Him to have full control of your day.

Make life count! Encourage a friend, say nice words to others, feed a homeless person, love your family, but mainly let Jesus live in you! If you release your all to Him He will equip you with greatness!
Sr. Pastor Tim McCarn

The joy and splendor to know that this is what God meant when He designed a family. He desired harmony, unity, love, affirmation, celebration, success, peace, and joy.

Jocelyn and I have all of that, then Brayden came along and intensified that love even stronger. As I got up this morning I was reminded that no matter what comes our way, a families love runs deep. My prayer is that one day everyone have the ability to feel and experience the truth of love. Happy Valentines Month to my wife and son.

Jocelyn I speak and declare the favor of the most High God over your life. You are chosen and called for your assignemnts in life. Your steps are ordered by the King who redeemed you and declared your existence. He declared your life to have meaning and worth. Your were predestined and ordained for this moment and your future is sealed by His Spirit.

Brayden I speak the blessings of the Father over your life today. I pray that you shall grow up and call Him Jehovah. All that this life now has to offer you, you touch it and make it beautiful. A new year of possiblities, hopes of moving forward and many things uncertain. I've come to an understanding through my life this far, and that is the challenge of change. The scariest thing is to have a repeat performance of the past in your life.

2010 was a great year for me. I married the lady of my dreams on January 1st and we had our first child at the end of the year. In April of 2010 our church was launched into its first phase of the vision that was established in 2003. What a blessing 2010 has been for me!

But along with that came many things that wasn't expected. The economy was still under construction and family budgets were being revamped. Which would challenge the church to operate in an unfamiliar design. God would challenge me to redefine the structure of our ministry, and with that would come loss but many new blessings. God is not into discarding the things and resources that He gives you but He is into proper placement of the gifts He delivers. Many times we put them in the wrong areas and they can't perform their God given duties because of inproper placement. God is the author of order not confusion.

One thing I do know, is that 2011 is going to be a great year! The reason is that the Holy Spirit is still operating through God's creation. I know that the work of God isn't complete yet, because many people need to come to know Jesus as savior. In 2010 I watched the faithful turn faithless, but I saw the remnant rise out of obscurity and find their place.

My challenge to you in 2011 is this. Don't discard change. Allow God to properly place you in the area you are great in. Notice I said great not good. This generation needs to see God's church operating in greatness. They need to see God's people faithful not discouraged. If this year you get dealt something you didnt expect, then know that God is into changing your life and transforming it for the good. There's a blessing on the other side of your unexpectancies.
Sr. Pastor Tim McCarn

We live in a busy, hurried world and it's easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of busyness, tasks, and goals. You will never achieve a significant dream without the involvement of others.

In 1 Kings 3:9 we read that Solomon pleaded with God for special and extraordinary wisdom. "Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?

Solomon saw the hidden treasures in others around him in a way that no one had seen it before. He regarded the people around him as more than sources of revenue and taxes. His love ran deep enough to ask God for uncommon ability to bless and strengthen those he governed.

Having a heart for people was the second thing Jesus required us to do. Why? He knew in order to find the treasures you had to love God and people with your whole heart!
Sr. Pastor Tim McCarn

But it really doesn't work that way. I know a lot of people who don't know Christ and are really nice people - nicer and more fun to be with, in fact , than a lot of Christians I know.

There has to be more to our faith than friendliness, politeness, and even kindness. Jesus taught in the gospel of Luke.

"If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even "sinners" love those who love them. And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even "sinners" do that. And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even "sinners" lend to "sinners", expecting to be repaid in full. But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be the Sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as your father is merciful." I'm not saying being madly in love with your wife and family is wrong. To be honest with you those are things that are apart of the MATTER chart of life. But we must look at the top part of the MATTER chart, which is God.

The idea of holding back certainly didnt come from Scripture. The Bible teaches us to be consumed with Christ and to faithfully live out His Word.

So today analyze how obsessed you are with God. Are you in love with the stuff He gives you or are you in love with who He just is?

People who are obsessed with Jesus give freely and openly without censure. Obsessed people love those who hate them and who can never love them back.

Tim
Sr. Pastor Tim McCarn

Water baptism has such a great meaning. It represents the old man being dead and being washed in the sea of forgetfullness. That's just like the love of God isn't it? He just pours His love on us and washes us daily with his grace!Grace is what sets you free and heals you. God's Love!

I want to be a true disciple of Jesus and experience this complete love for myself but also give it to others. My prayer today is that God keep teaching me how to love others with this unending love that never fails! Never leaves! Ephesians 6:10 Paul moves from intimacy in Ephesians 5 to warfare in Ephesians 6. Having intimacy with Christ allows you to take on your advesary because you know who loves you.

Joshua saw after crossing the Jordan river, a wall that looked like it couldn't be conquored. Just because you are in the middle of a battle doesn't mean God is not with you! He has given you a charge to be strong! Not in your power but His power!

You can take a stand against the forces trying to hurt your marriage, your friends, or your employment! If God told you to stand He surely must have brought you to the place where you had to stand. Hold on and don't let go! Keep fighting and allow God's power to be your driving force, not your own! Jesus could preach a message while hanging on a cross, and Stephen could look to heaven while being stoned! Stand in the power of God and watch God be strong and mighty in battle for you today.

Take a moment to reflect on how much Jesus loves you, and stand in that love!
Sr. Pastor Tim McCarn

One of the biggest tasks I know is having to clean my building out from all the things I've let pile up over a season or two. What stumps me a lot when cleaning like that is the question. "What is treasure or what is junk?"

In this series I've started preaching this month, we have seen in the Bible many times that God's people had to clean house in order to get their focus back to God. They had to clean their lives up and the temple up. God has always been a God of order and cleanliness. He's a jealous God for you. He wants your life cleaned and focused on Him.

Look into your life today and see what has been hanging around that really doesn't belong. Things that really don't represent the great commission. Things that keep you from looking like Jesus.
Sr. Pastor Tim McCarn

Lets just be honest and ask ourselves. Do we really make our own lives difficult? I say SURE! We make things so complex when we can make it so easy. Just like serving God. Jesus said that there was two things you needed to do to get to Heaven. Love God with everything you got, and love one another... Somebody just slammed on brakes!! What??

You mean that's all I have to do? Sure is! Then why do people feel like its much more than that? Cause we make everything so difficult. We thrive on complexity, because that's what we are used to. The world has taught it to us, and now we do it to ourselves.

Try to build a house and see how many inspectors show up.
Try to buy a car and see how many hoops to jump through to buy a car.
Try to buy a house and your hand becomes numb because you have signed so many papers.

When life for you has become simple in Christ, then all your problems have simply been handled. They are always thinking, designing, and making things change. I think of how God is and He sure isn't boring. Seriously, He is always active. The Bible says He never sleeps nor slumbers. God is constantly putting ways together to work out the good for us. He's designing ways of escape, and producing great people out of desolate places. He can take the worst person and make them awesome! He can take the nastiest and wash them up and make them look brand new. He gives people ideas to make them wealthy, but before He does that He teaches them to be humble and gentle. He can take a hurricane and make it look like as peaceful as a hillside of daisies on a beautiful summer morning.

My thought is this. The more we imitate God, we don't become so boring to the world. Be a Christian and become alive and filled with beauty. Create something people today! Lay aside your garments, wrap every naked human flaw in the warm towel of servanthood as you help others, and draw the water! With joy we draw water from the wells of salvation! (See Isaiah 12:3)

But what good is that water if we fail to use it to wash away the weariness of someone's journey? I can almost hear the cascading sound of cooling waters. They fall like mountains of water plummeting from the Rock. God has enough water. He just needs someone who will take the risk of being the first one. He is searching for someone to end the long supper and lay aside his garments.

You may be the only one at your table who knows that the hour has come and the supper is ended. Wait no longer we are losing a generation! Lay aside your garments! The waters are drawn, my friend; we are waiting on you!

Philippians 2:5-9

A Servant!
Sr. Pastor Tim McCarn

He has numbered every hair on our hair, and knew us before we were born. Why is it though we approach Him in prayer and act like He doesn't know our issues? Why isn't we become afraid to talk to Him about our most inner fears, or struggles. Maybe we feel ashamed or feel like we need to hide it from God. That was Adam's issue with his struggle, he sinned and then he hid. Then he thought by sowing some dying leaves together that, it was going to hide his nakedness.

Let me challenge you to take the leaves off in front of God, and expose yourself in such a way that it reliefs you from carrying the pain or struggle. He wants to be the one helping you, and carrying it for you. He wants to deliver you and break you free from the bondage that has held you for so long. You cant be afraid to talk to your Father! He's willing and more than able! He's not going to punish you, He's going to save you! Love you! Care for you! and make you stronger than you have ever been!

Unveil yourself and don't fool yourself anymore. You can't hide anything from God. He knows your uprising and down setting. he's sees you right now! Talk to Him, and be naked to Him not ashamed!

Just a thought...
Sr. Pastor Tim McCarn

Real ministry will start the moment we stop trying to impress each other and say, "Look! This is how I really look beneath my name, my reputation, or my success. This is who I really am!

Jesus paid the price! He took the leap that few would ever dare to take. (John 13) He laid aside His garments before those whom He had labored to inspire. Yet we have not followed His example. The closer we get to leaders, the more they hide. They are afraid understandably so. We have asked them to be God! We have asked them to be flawless We have asked them to be more than what we could ever be, and we have imprisoned them in their callings and chained them to their giftings.

Wailings, shrieks of broken hearts, and screams of terror echo behind our stiffy starched shirts and satiny smooth dresses. The words have increased; the technology has improved; but the power of ministry will never be unleashed until those who are called to deliver it find grace, or perhaps the mercy, that will allow them to lay aside their garments!

It's time we become naked and not ashamed!!

Just a thought!
Sr. Pastor Tim McCarn
